Schammy received a short video that embarrassed a classmate. The group wrote: share it. Lily noticed the beginning was missing and asked: do we know this is true?
Ephesians 4:25 tells us to put away lying and speak truth. The same chapter commands words that build others up. For a follower of Jesus, truth and kindness are not enemies.
James 1:19 teaches us to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. The Holy Spirit can form that pause between feeling and posting. A pause is not cowardice; it can be self-control.
Before sharing, find the original source, check the date and context, ask a trusted adult, and consider the harm. If something involves threats, abuse, exploitation, or danger, preserve evidence without redistributing it and seek safe help now.
Practice P.O.S.T.: Pause, Observe the source, Submit the tone to Jesus, and Take the step that builds up. Your identity does not depend on reacting first; it belongs to Christ.
